I Don't Dance

"I'll never settle down
That's what I always thought
I was that kind of man
Just ask anyone
I don't dance"

+++++++++++

I have been listening to this song non-stop for the last two days.  Makes you want to fall in love and get married, doesn't it?

The Sunshine Award

Thank you so much, Madeline for nominating me in the Sunshine Award!

Rules:
* Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
* Answer the questions they asked you.
* Nominate other bloggers.
* Give them a list of questions.
* Let them know that they have been nominated.
* The Sunshine Award button must be on your blog post.

Madeline's Questions:

What story are you currently writing?
Answer:  I consider it to be more than just a story because I've always had the same vision of it in my head.  My dream is to turn it into a published series one day.  As to the actual story, I'm not ready to reveal it to the world yet so you'll have to wait a little longer ;) But I will tell you that it's about a seventeen year old girl named Alexandra.

Favorite music at the moment?
Answer:  Well, One Direction of course!  No, but actually I've been really into deep emotional music, lately.  I find it very inspirational.

Type of tea?
Answer:  I've always disliked tea but recently, my mom found a peppermint tea and it's not too bad.  I'm kind of addicted to it to be honest.

If somebody offered to buy you a plane ticket to wherever you wanted to go, where would you choose?
Answer:  Since there are far too many places I want to visit in the world, I pick Hogwarts.  I mean it's possible, right?

Are you a neat and tidy or messy and disorganized person?
Answer:  I'm messy but organized.  Ya, I'm strange. ;)

Favorite Disney Princess?
Answer:  Ever since I was a little girl, I've always loved Belle. <3

If you could bring back a dead fictional character, who would it be?
Answer:  NO! I was hoping this question would never come! *goes into deep thought for several minutes*
(For those who have not read TFIOS and Divergent, move on.  For those who have, drag your mouse over the black "box".)

Augustus or Tris? AH, THIS IS KILLING ME!  *ten minutes later*  I'm going to have to choose Tris just because I still don't understand why she had to die.  I think I can somewhat accept Augustus's death just because Hazal, most likely, died from her cancer shortly after Augustus so I'm sure they're both happily together in heaven.

The One or City of Heavenly Fire?
Answer:  City of Heavenly Fire!!!  The end of the month can't get here fast enough!  Who will survive?
I haven't gotten around to reading The Selection YET...  : P

You have to destroy all your books but one.  Which one is it?
Answer:  I'm going to be honest here.  Madeline, you sure do know how to torture a reading-addict.  I would save...TFIOS! I love it too much.  Destroying it would be the death of me.

Which book would you want to live in?
Answer:  I could see myself in any of The Mortal Instruments books.  I mean ya, it would be creepy with all the demons but if I grew up with training as a Shadowhunter, it wouldn't be all that bad.  I mean, Idris sounds pretty awesome.

I Nominate:

Lila from Creative Thinking
Mackenzie from think. eat. write. read.
Lizzie from Castle in the Air
And to make it fun, the first person to comment "I volunteer as tribute!" on this post.

My Questions:

Do you have a role model? If so, who?

When you get married someday, would you want a small or large family?

Are you going to make a summer bucket list this year?

Earth or the story world you've written and created in your head?

What do you want to do and achieve in your life?

Fair or an amusement park?

Are you adventurous?

How tall are you?

Favorite store to shop at?

Tobias Eaton,  Jace Wayland,  Edward Cullen, Peeta Mellark, or Augustus Waters?  You must marry one, cliff (kill) one, kiss one, one must be your child, and one must be your best friend.  Now choose!  (And if you haven't heard of these characters, 'Do you wear makeup?  If so, what kind?')

Well those were kind of random, Sarah.  Yes, I know.

Thank you again, Madeline for tagging me!  I really enjoyed answering your question (even though some of them I really struggled with...it's okay.  I forgive you!)

  xoxo,

To-Be-Read Jar

I don't know about you, but my TBR (To Be Read) book list is HUGE.  Being the booklion that I am, I want to read and get my hands on every good book out there.  There's just one problem: I never know what book or series to start reading next because I'm equally excited to read all of them.  But don't worry, there's a solution!  I'd like to introduce you to the TBR Jar!

Items needed:

  • A jar with or without a lid
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Pen
  • Glitter (optional)
  • A Goodreads account or a list of books you want to read
Step One:  With the scissors, cut your piece of paper into slivers about a half an inch wide each.
Step Two:  With your pen, on each slip of paper write the name and author of a book you want to read.  (For a series, only write the first book in the series.)
Step Three:  When finished writing the slips of paper, place them in the jar.  You can fold them, turn them into little oragami stars, or not fold them, etc.
Step Four (optional):  Sprinkle glitter into the jar.

Now every time you want to read a new book, just stick your hand into your TBR jar and grab a single slip inside, read it, and TA DA! You know what book to read next!  It's pretty genius if you ask me...

xoxo,

This Or That?

Tag, you're it!
I have been tagged by my dear friend, Neeli to do the This Or That tag. Oh, and psst, you should go follow her blog!

Rules: Answer the questions given to you, give the people you nominate the same questions, nominate three people and let them know they've been tagged. (You don't have to do this tag if you don't want to)

Neeli's question's :

Hair up or down?
Answer:  It usually depends on what I'm doing.  If I'm out having fun, it's down. If I'm working or just sitting around at home, it's up.

Dessert or fruit?
Answer: Ha! Since I'm allergic to most desserts, fruit!

Dress or shirt and sweatpants?
Answer: How about a t-shirt and skinny jeans?

One Direction or Jonas Brothers?
Answer: Oh gosh, if you've seen my bedroom walls, you'd know that I'm 100% One Direction!

Radio or iPod?
Answer: I guess my iPod...it's depends on what mood I'm in.

Sleepover at your house or at a friend's house?
Answer: It depends on whose house I'm going to but usually the friend's house is always more fun. :)

Cookies or apples?
Answer: Cookies! Because apples are a pain in the butt to eat with braces.

Playing cards or painting? Answer: Painting.

In a board game, would you rather be a green or a white piece?
Answer: Green but if there was red, I'd choose red.

I tag:

New Year Resolutions 2014

I am very much aware that it is almost February and not the beginning of 2014 but I'm going to make February my new beginning.  Through the month of January, I have been brainstorming ideas and goals I plan on meeting this year.  Usually, I never make resolutions but sometimes a change is always good.
Two thousand fourteen is my clean slate.  As some of you may know, 2013 was a pretty crappy year for me and I intend to leave it in the past forever.  I cannot be more excited to begin my New Year with confidence that this year will be different and better.

Events to come of 2014:
  • Divergent movie, The Fault in Our Stars movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Amazing Spider Man 2, Mockingjay Part 1, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again!
  • OSU vs. Iowa basketball game
  • ProLife March in Washington DC
  • My brother's wedding- May 24th
  • My cousin's wedding
  • Three graduation parties of my cousins
  • Volunteering at vacation bible school
  • My mom leaving for Germany for 2 weeks
  • Country Fest 2014
  • I turn 16
  • (Hopefully) Get my driver's license.
  • Second year of Catholic Family Land
  • Maybe a vacation to the beach?
  • My first year of going to a public school
  • Get my braces off

Goals/Resolutions for 2014

  • Exercise (run, workout, etc.)
  • Be more confident in myself
  • Be a better friend
  • Be less of a procrastinater
  • Write. Write. Write.
  • Draw. Sketch. Paint.
  • Finish my studio
  • Paint a masterpiece
  • Play/learn my guitar
  • Join CYO basketball
  • Reach 100 followers on my blog
  • Have 300 followers on Instagram
  • Read 50 books
  • Make my first YouTube video
  • Have 100 YouTube subscribers
  • Journal EVERYTHING
  • Post 164 posts on this blog in one year
  • Be more dauntless ;)
  • Go to homecoming
  • Make a memory jar
  • Learn how to do graffiti
  • Do my own version of Van Gogh's Starry Night
  • Learn to write calligraphy
  • Let my hair grow even longer
  • Do something that scares me
  • Finish all the seasons of a TV show

I am so excited to begin this new year with a clean slate and new goals to conquer.  If you haven't created any goals for yourself this year, you should! Dare yourself to step outside your comfort zone, try new things, and make yourself a better person.  We all have hopes and dreams to accomplish one day and it's not just going to be a skip in the park; it's going to take time and maybe you'll go through some rough patches and feel like giving up. So take baby steps.  Write down the goals you need to do to get to your dream.  Each year make a list and you'll slowly make your way across the stepping stones of life. You'll feel much better about yourself at the end of the year, as well. So tell me, what goals are you going to complete this year?

xoxo,

The Sunshine Award

I'd like to give a shoutout to the one and only Lila aka My Fangirl Buddy for tagging me in the Sunshine Award! She's awesome and you should go follow her flawless blog!

(I hope you enjoy reading me answers)

The rules are:
1. Thank the blogger that nominated her and link to her blog
2. Nominate other bloggers and let them know on their blogs
3. Answer a list of ten questions
4. The Sunshine Award button must be posted on the blog

1: What is your dream job?
Over the years, my dream job has been constantly changing but I'm pretty certain on what I want to do now.  My dream job is to get my book series published and become an author, while, being a famous YouTuber and traveling the world, having fun, and just making people laugh.  I don't want to be just another number on the world's population number. I want to be somebody; I want people to know my name.

2: What are some of your goals for 2014?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately.  I'm not sure yet. I am planning on writing a big New Years Resolutions post very soon. So stay tuned ;)

3: If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?
This question is always hard.  I'd wish that people would be able to live their life freely and not be so afraid of failure and what other people would think of their actions and looks.  I'd wish that One Direction would be immortal and make music for eternity so my children and my children's children would be able to experience them and the happiness that they bring you as they've done to me. And lastly, I'd wish that abortion would end so that millions of babies could be saved.

4: What was your favorite part about 2013?
Honestly, 2013 was a really crappy year for me and I'm trying to forget about it; bury it in the ground and never think about it again. It's in the past.

5: Where is your favorite place to go?
Probably my library since the nearest book store is 1 to 2 hours away, but I also love travelling so anytime I'm going out-of-state, I'm super happy.

6: What song describes you the most?
Definitely American Girl by Bonnie McKee.

7: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I hope I'll be in college, an on-my-way-to-being-famous YouTuber, a soon-to-be author, and be in a series relationship.

8: How would you describe yourself?
Crazy, weird, funny, nerdy, competitive, outgoing, friendly, and nice.

9: What is your inspiration?
Definitely music and black and white pictures

10: Did you have fun doing this post?
Yes, I did!

I tag everybody who has a blog to do this tag! It's a great way to get your followers to know you a little better.

xoxo,
